Starting point

Studio ENA is a growing Shopify shop in the DACH region that sells handmade one-off jewellery. Revenue and visitor numbers were clearly on the rise. The question was where the biggest lever for growth sat.

Approach

I began with a full funnel analysis: where in the buying process visitors drop out, split by channel, device and entry page. From that a prioritised list, then the rebuild of the product page with its focus on the buying area. The mobile product page was clearly the biggest lever for driving revenue growth and strengthening the funnel.

Alongside it, an analysis of measurability itself: which metrics actually hold up, and what can be demonstrated at all over a short period. The first metric for that reason was the mobile add-to-cart rate, because it read out very consistently across every analysis.

What exactly was rebuilt

We started with the product-page content above the fold. So that visitors have all the information at a glance, we removed elements that were not strictly necessary and replaced them with strong trust signals: shipping handling, customer reviews and availability. We then adjusted the gallery to create more room further down and to promote bestsellers, new products and one-off pieces. The primary CTA moved into the first viewport along with it, and with that the first release was ready.

How the content is split, before and after: more room, at the same amount of information.

Result

Four weeks after the release, the rate at which visitors add a product to the cart is 71 percent higher than before in the core segment. The increase is statistically robust, appears across all channels at the same time, and cannot be explained by a shift in the traffic mix.

Conclusion

It does not always have to be a relaunch. When the technical base of the shop is solid, a targeted rebuild grounded in data can achieve a strong effect.

The guidelines behind it

The planned changes were checked against two published guidelines before anything was built.
